Professor Phoebe Chen is Co-Leader of Theme 1, is Professor and Chair at the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, La Trobe University. KCI Chen has been awarded 30 ARC and Industry research grants. KCI Chen has published over 300 research papers, many of them appeared in top journals and conferences such as IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, Nature Machine Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Bioinformatics, Pattern Recognition, IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, CVPR, AAAI, ACL, ECCV, SIGMOD, ACM MM etc. KCI Chen’s research contribution on machine learning and agribioscience. KCI Chen has been associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems and IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, Editor-in-Chief Current Bioinformatics. KCI Chen has been appointed to the ARC College of Experts. KCI Chen has been a vice chair of ACM SIGMM, is a steering committee chair of Asia-Pacific Bioinformatics Conference (founder) and international conference on Multimedia Modelling. KCI Chen has been on the program committee’s chair and member of over 100 international conferences, including top ranking conferences such as AAAI, ACM MM, ICDE, ICPR, CIKM etc.
