We are bringing the digital revolution to the paddock by creating a responsive “Internet of Soils and Plants.” By combining cutting-edge sensors with artificial intelligence, we aim to give farmers real-time, data-driven insights into the exact health of their crops and land.
Our research is driven through three core areas:
-
Soil Sensing: Healthy crops start from the ground up. We are developing autonomous robotic rovers and durable, wireless sensor networks that continuously monitor soil health, mapping vital nutrients and environmental conditions in real time.
-
Plant Sensing: We want to catch plant stress before it impacts the harvest. By combining close-up biosensors with large-scale monitoring from drones and satellites, we can track plant nutrition, predict crop yields, and identify diseases early to drastically reduce food waste.
-
Predictive IoT Networks: To make sense of this massive amount of information, we are building a powerful, secure data platform. This system integrates data from across the farm to create a “Digital Twin” of the agricultural environment, empowering farmers with AI-driven predictive analytics and smart decision-support tools.
Ultimately, this theme will establish a comprehensive framework that turns raw agricultural data into actionable insights, helping growers manage their farms with unprecedented precision.
